GS attorneys and counsel have represented parties in proceedings governed by the rules of various major international institutions, including the ICDR, ICC, IACAC, and others. We also have experience in cases under the rules of regional centers, like the CCBC, the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Paraná Association of Industries (ARBITAC); the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil, Ecuador; ad hoc rules; and many others. Our subject matter experience entails disputes in various sectors, including infrastructure; international sales and trade; financial instruments and securities; insurance and reinsurance; freight; energy (alternative, electric, oil and gas, and plant construction); project finance; banking; intellectual property and transfers of technology; and international commercial transactions like leasing, agency, franchising, and distribution contracts. We have handled arbitrations where the only working language is English, Portuguese, or Spanish, and the firm has complete teams to staff cases in each of these languages.
