SILC Earns Mention in Legal 500

Global publication Legal 500 recently released its rankings of firms and practitioners in international arbitration in Latin America. For the first time, Legal 500 noted that SILC is establishing a presence in the region, citing the hiring of Diego Gosis. This mention from Legal 500 builds on rankings by other notable publications, including Chambers, Who’s Who, and Super Lawyers.

SILC Professionals to Speak in Numerous Events

During the fall months, SILC professionals will be speaking by invitation at numerous events in the region. Mauricio Gomm will speak at the annual ICDR event in Miami and the annual International Arbitration Days in Coimbra, Portugal. Quinn Smith will speak at the CBAr’s annual congress in Porto Alegre and the ICDR’s annual event in Bogotá. Diego Gosis will speak at ICC YAF events in Panama City and Washington D.C, the annual convention of the Instituto Peruano de Arbitraje in Arequipa, the annual ICDR event in Lima, the launching of the new ICC rules in Buenos Aires, and lecturing at McGill University in Montreal. All of the events relate to international dispute resolution, including topics touching on investment and commercial arbitration.

Diego Gosis Represents Argentina in Recent Victory

III Brazil Infrastructure Investments Forum

The third edition of the Forum will be held October 4, 2012 in New York City. The program will feature panel discussions on the recent developments in Brazilian airports, railways and ports, as well as in the areas of oil and gas – a permanent source of interest in Brazil – and civil construction, a basic instrument for private involvement in infrastructure. The seminar is organized by the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and Editora Fórum – Fórum Cultural.
